I tried to send this little ditty to Michelle Bachman but it wouldn't go through....ever.

I work with students at a middle school in Waconia.  I don't know the ins and outs of the Health Care Plan, but I do know that when kids are sick or have sore mouths and their parents don't have healthcare, students don't get the care they need from doctors and dentists.  My healthcare costs have gone up each year for 24 years because of insurance companies' greed, not "Obamacare."  Kids need health insurance.  Kids need education.  Sick kids and education don't mix well.  Also, please do not embarrass Carver County with any of the strange/scary comments you have made in the past.  I don't think you should call people "anti-American" just because they don't think the way you do.  Please be nice and try to get others in Congress to work together to help our nation...not divide it.

What I don't understand is why don't these parents have health insurance for their kids? Do not all states have CHIP or Medicaid? Spencer and I have no job and we don't qualify for any "financial" help, but we can get CHIP and Medicaid for our kids, which has been a big blessing. The co-pays are based on what money does get earned in a year and we pay $3.00 per doctor's visits. They also get to see the dentist for free. Are these parents just not taking the time and energy that it takes to get insurance coverage from the state? Plus, I don't have health insurance coverage and I have been able to still see a doctor. I've had to pay up front, but I was still able to see a doctor and get medicine. So what is it with these parents that they can't see a doctor or their kids can't see a doctor?
