Gary is our new friend in Waconia. The Sister Missionaries were teaching him and asked if I would go to his apartment with them. What a scary and amazing thing to do. I did not serve a mission for the LDS Church (or any other church) so this was different for me. Gary has come to our house for his discussions and I told him that we wanted him as a friend and we did not care if he joined the LDS Church. He is a recovering alcoholic and is a very wonderful man. He is going to be Santa Claus at our ward Christmas party. He asked Kelly to baptize him, confirm him and Kelly also set him apart as a Priest in the Aaronic Priesthood.

What a great new friend!!! How lucky for your husband to be able to baptize him and also set him apart. What a great experience. See - there was a reason why you moved!
