Anonymous: Have you ever had to look at children's head to see if they have lice? Have you ever taped said lice to a tongue depressor? Did you have an office at the District Office before I found you a table, chair, and pens at Parkside?
On Tuesday, I learned to make Pizzelles. They were a lot of fun. The kids and Kelly have eaten most of them. One of my new friends made caramels. Homemade caramels. So chewy, so delicious. I may attempt them at some point. I don't know yet.
I made lasagna last night. I did not open a frozen box and put the package in the oven. I boiled the noodles and browned the meat, etc. When Kelly came home he wanted to ask, "Who brought us dinner?" So on my other blog, I put on two new recipes.
The north wind is still blowing. No snow as of yet.
On Saturday, we drove into Minneapolis and went to Macy's. It was our year anniversary of bringing the kids out here to see if we liked MN. Macy's does a display every year during the Holiday Season. Every year it is different. This year is A Day in the Life of an Elf. Very cute. Except for the scary christmas trees with faces on them.

We have to go to Minneapolis to see more people with dark skin. Here in Waconia, we are very diverse: Swedes, Germans, Norwegians. I do miss Parkside's diversity.

Yikes! Those trees are kind of freaky looking, aren't they? They remind me of the apple trees that come to life in The Wizard of Oz!
Hard to believe anywhere could be more homogenous than Utah. Glad you got into the big city to see some diversity.

Yum Yum, the lasagne sounds good. cooking is fun isn't it. I tried making caramels last year and it didn't work but I will give it a go again this year. Cross your fingers. Macy's sounds fun
